North Ireland's first-ever sextuplets
The parents of Ireland's first ever sextuplets have been promised plenty of support when they return home to County Tyrone. Nuala Conway gave birth to four girls and two boys in the space of five minutes. The babies were conceived naturally, without IVF. It was the first recorded birth of sextuplets on the island of Ireland, and the first in the UK since 1993. They will get great support from everyone when they come home. But it is the talk of the parish today. Everyone is over the moon." Previously the largest multiple birth in Northern Ireland was quintuplets, who were also born in County Tyrone, in 2002.

To me it is always delighting to hear that someone gave birth. But this birth isn’t that normal, six babies at ones. I think the parents really need the support that is offered them. It is even hard with one baby. I think the parents won’t get much sleep, but it is worth it. Another positive thing is that they are ready and do not have to think of having other children.

Pff six baby in one go. I think the parents will be overwhelmed by all of the crying and diapers they will have to change. I would like to have children later on but not six. It is a very special thing six babies but they will need all of the help they can get I guess
